Ok so I think I may havve made an irreperable error.
I have a 2000 9-3 convertible. A few weeks back I go to pull my latch forward to put the top down and it comes right off. I still used it by kinda keeping it in the prongs while I unlatched it, but it was obviously more of a challenge.
Anyway, a few days ago I'm fixing a few things around the house with gorrila glue and come up with an idea that sounded genius at the time: If I put some gorilla glue on the end of my latch where it goes into the prongs on the top, my latch wont come off when I pull it. It worked.....a little too good. Now my latch is stuck shut, and I'm thinking about how dumb I am and wondering how to get it off. I work at Home Depot and I thought there'd be something there to help, we resorted to trying a crowbar to pry it loose, and even tied a rope to the latch and got two of us to pull with all our might to get it loose. No avail. I think my convertible may be doomed to be only a half convertible now....
Any ideas on how I might get my latch loose?
