Stinky NG900 - Fuel/petroleum smell. Posted by B Millar [Email] (#1109) [Profile/Gallery] (more from B Millar) on Thu, 20 Oct 2011 05:20:14 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I just moved into a brand new house in August (new house smell, you know?). The garage is built into the basement, with the kitchen/livingroom over it. My house mate has a 1996 900 SE that absolutely stinks of fuel when he parks it in the garage. I've been being kind of a b*tch lately and making him leave it outside. But he's resistant (he's paying rent on a house with a garaged parking spot). He got back late last night and when I opened my bedroom door this morning it was very apparent he parked in the garage as all I could smell was fumes. We tried switching gas caps with my 9-5; no change. I've walked around the car a couple times trying to pinpoint where the smell is coming from, but can't. I don't know much about these Saabs. Anyone have any suggestions as to what to look for? Thanks!
