There's no "cam position sensor" because the Trionic system manages that through software using the sparkplugs to sense firing.
What kind of sparkplugs are you using? The proper NGK plugs (BCPR6ES) seem to be essential for this system to operate. Dirty? Old?
The system also uses the spark plugs as knock-sensors, so that can possibly be causing spark-knock.
... the long story ...
First starting up, it fires sparkplugs at all TDC positions, so it'll fire at TDC on the compression stroke & also fire at TDC on the exhaust stroke. The ionization voltage across the spark gap will be different, and after the first couple revolutions the system will "know" the camshaft position.
