I left a message a while ago regarding this problem I have. The seatbelt has retracted and will not pull out.
see message http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=293345
I disassembled the rear side panel to access the seatbelt and now realize I am dealing with the pretensioner mechanism and the tubular explosive device that work with the air bag (or at least goes off at the same time as the air bag to deactivate the seat belt from releasing and keeping the driver from slamming into the airbag - or to minimize that impact).
So I got a replace belt that was taken off another car and shipped to me.
There is a wire attached to the device. I have disconnected the battery (hoping to minimize it going off). I am now wondering how this wire connector comes off. Does it pull out, up, down to the side or is it on there for ever - only to be replaced by snipping the wire and then use wire nuts to reconnect - that can't be right.)
So how does this connector come off?

I woud like to get this done this weekend so I can use the car.
thanks.
