Sure, and we don't have a right to take away Posted by bender [Email] (#268) [Profile/Gallery] (more from bender) on Sat, 17 Dec 2011 16:54:17 In Reply to: Defining humanely, Noel, Sat, 17 Dec 2011 16:03:30 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
the life of others' because we dominated tha f*** out of this planet. We tend to draw a line between so-called 'animals' and 'humans' like were physically any different. We're not. We're just highly intelligent. We *are* all animals and that little rodent, though a pest to you, has a central nervous system and just like you, suffers and feels pain when it is hurt. Oh, and for all of you who wonder what happens when you die...nothing. Look at the rodent that's dead. That's what'll happen; 'cause you're no different.
And though I as well, would not be ok if a rodent cause me hundreds of dollars of damage to my car, that will in no way shape or form somehow change my values on treating life as it should be treated. If you need to kill them, do it as humanely as possible. Just seeing someone proudly take a picture of a dead mouse (or how about you give youtube a try and search mouse trap...) shows me how sadistic people are and utterly disgusts me at some of the things we do with our incredible intelligence (or should I put that in quotes 'intelligence'? We really do some sick stupid stuff don't we...). Do what you have to do, do it humanely and be done with it. No need to showcase it here.
