and it's all but impossible to predict how it will be going forward. At 200K the car will continue to need things, some expensive. So you will need to budget for regular repairs and know when to cut your losses.

A 200K mile Saab will get you maybe $500 on a trade, so try to sell it privately. You can get a lot of used car for $20K these days. Or a much newer Saab for much, much less.
