can CPS cause cold start problems & be OK when hot Posted by Viggen Aero [Email] (#977) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Viggen Aero) on Tue, 3 Jul 2012 07:00:15 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
02 Viggen 70 K. I had a bad CPS as indicated by CEL code and hot start/ driveability problems. Since I replaced it- I have had cold start issues when it's below 50 degrees. I bought CPS on ebay- and it came direct from Bosch. It looked like a direct replacement- but I didn't cross reference the numbers.
Can a CPS be bad when cold and OK when hot? I know it's usually the opposite.
I have a good used CPS from an engine I am rebuilding. I am going to swap it out and see. Though it's warm enough now that it might not happen again until fall. I have tried and checked everything else. I have swapped out a lot of parts with my 01 Viggen to test.
