1999 viggen 103k.
The stud that should be fixed to the spoiler and that passes through the rear hatch has detached from the spoiler causing it to bounce. It is however still attached to the 5/8" x 5/8" mount and has two of the four pins stuck to it, while the other two pins are attached to the spoiler. I did not find a similar issue in the archives and I trying to determine the best way to fix it- I am thinking a two part epoxy. Also, from other post it seems there should be double sided tape on the one edge and then rubber washers in various places. For sure there should be one between the nut and the hatch, but should there also be one on the outside between the hatch and the spoiler? Also the paint has been worn off in various places, a 4" long 1/4" wide spot on the side, but completely out of site, and a dime size spot at the bottom of the spoiler that is visible.
It's been about a year and a half since I was rear ended and had some body work done. I remember when I first got it back the spoiler rattled a little bit. After disassembling it I am questioning whether they had reassembled it correctly. Regardless, it's my fault for not immediately inquiring about the issues.
