Stick with OEM cassettes and mass air meters, only. Sure you pay more, but you will get a far better product. See aftermarket Chinese IDMs fail all the time on cars towed to the shop with the owner saying "It cant be the cassette, it was just replaced". Yes, it actually can be, and it is. I replace more Chinese cassettes lately with new OEM than old CEL OEM units at the end of their life cycle.
Your better off with your good working OEM units than new Chinese unit. When you say the OEM units are not benchmarks in longevity, you haven't experienced the complete failures of a Chinese aftermarket unit. The OEM units at least give you fair warning of failure (CEL).
