Koni shocks have an adjuster on top that accepts a knob. They also have a special nut that uses a 2 pin wrench (gland nut wrench) instead of a standard 6-point wrench. Bilstein HE or Sport shocks will have a blue dust boot, and they also have an unusual nut. Any other shock will look just like the stock ones until you take them out.
