Thanks SWEDECAR.
I've owned many manual cars with brake boost assist. None have rolled on me the way the Viggen does. I am pretty certain that no matter how hard I press on the brake, if I'm on a slope, it will roll.
I've suspected a brake booster problem, because of the hissing.
But I was hoping that if I replace the brake booster, this dangerous rolling situation would go away. It sounds like the only cure for that is to make my e-brake functional again.
Do you know if changing the brake booster is a very involved job? Are there other brake things I should do as long as I'm doing that, like stainless brake lines, new fluid, etc.?
