The nut on the bottom has a hole that goes all the way through it, and it had actually started to rust so that's why it was so hard to remove without breaking the bolt that's welded (?) to the firewall.
This nut had become loose before but I don't remember when I decided it was a good idea to put the wrong washer on there...
Nick at GS had sent me a replacement nut a while back that doesn't have a hole in it like my old one. Maybe it was a design change, but the old bolt had a 18 or 19mm head, the new bolt only had a 15mm head, and seemed to be made of brass. I think the old one was steel/iron?
