Little to no trust for USPS Posted by JustinHiFi [Email] (#829) [Profile/Gallery] (more from JustinHiFi) on Sun, 29 Jun 2014 08:37:18 In Reply to: Waiting for parts - again!, MI-Roger [Profile/Gallery] , Sat, 28 Jun 2014 05:44:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I ordered some ($$$$) parts for a customers Porsche 911 back on May 15th from overseas, the package has been in the US since May 20th (almost 40 days now) still bouncing around to different sort facilities. Oh, and it was sent Registered Mail "The safest and most secure method of sending expensive or irreplaceable goods" as USPS says. I suppose its not technically lost, but its a bit frustrating. https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction?qtc_tLabels1=RR899689789FI

I've confirmed with the sender the correct shipping address was used (computer printed label, no unreadable handwriting). Back on June 4th an attempted delivery in Fort Lauderdale was made which is only 175 miles away.
Currently have 4 different cases open for this one package, one at two different sort centers, one with USPS Customer Relations and the last at my local post office branch. Their standard response is oh it just left such and such sort facility so we cant do anything at this time". Ive tried to start a lost parcel claim however they reply that its not "lost" just has not been delivered yet.
