That would be normal except that I took the T7 DI Cassette off my 9-5, reset the ECU, and it blows the P1105 and P0300 after approx. 35 miles. Also, why would the P1105 show up if the DIC was going bad? This is the what I'm talking about as the vehicle runs great. It simply enjoys throwing codes for no apparent reason. The dealer couldn't figure it out and I am a trained mechanic and have spent countless hours trying to figure it out. I still believe, given the nature of the 9-3 regarding CEL issues, that the this is simply one very bad piece of software. My reasoning goes back to when the car had 500 miles on it. It shut off while going 65 miles an hour on Route 95. I quickly restarted it and the CEL was on. I took it back to the dealer and the tech said it was a misfire that caused the CEL and he reset it. Think about that for a moment. One misfire, which I have never felt, in the life of this vehicle causes the CEL to come on, and shuts the vehicle off? What if I was above the arctic circle, where this car is designed to operate, and the engine quits because of one (1) misfire? That is pure fubar, end of story. My guess is that some sob at Saab either buried a virus in my ecu or there is a short somewhere in the harness. The 9-5, which is nearly identical regarding the engine components, never has these issues. If I could get an ecu with CEL delete I'd go through the bother of tearing half my dashboard apart to change it. Quite frankly, it's no wonder they went out of business.
