Advice needed on fuel pump cost options Posted by Johnhcarter [Email] (#471) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Johnhcarter) on Thu, 29 Jan 2015 06:33:57 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I find the fuel pump assembly available for $140.00, $260.00, and $413.00. The most costly being the OEM part. All depictions appear to show the complete assembly. This is a big cost difference. Can there be that much difference in quality? Can anyone offer an opinion as to the best choice. I put a pump in my daily driver which I bought because it needed a fuel pump. In this instance I did not buy the complete assembly but simply a pump at a cost of $87.00. That was about 70,000 miles ago and the car is running well. I'm looking to pick up another car where the pump is out and like the idea of replacing the assembly but at what cost. I'm interested in some opinions from the group.
