Got it back together and so far it's not leaking. The oil pump O-ring was intact but there was a huge gouge in the bore of the aluminum casting where the seal presses in. I bought the car with 48K miles so I suppose the seal was replaced prior to that under warranty and the dealer's shop did the damage. I smoothed it out a bit with 1200 grit paper but it still looks like a potential leak to me. I guess if it does leak, I can redo the job with some kind of gasket sealant to fill the gouge.
Also, I didn't have an impact wrench to tighten the pulley bolt and was using a beam torque wrench with my wife holding the brakes (right wheel off the ground). I could torque it to about 110 ft-lbs before the brakes started slipping. Tight enough? I was going for 125 ft-lbs but couldn't reach it.
