Since just about every car maker has done away with keys or dowelpins in favor of pure friction between bolt, sprocket and camshaft you should double check if your torque specs are correct.
I doubt the sprocket would move if the bolt was torqued correctly.
I managed to rescue an engine where the bolt had not been torqued properly and the sprocket sheared the key and moved until engine died.
Just on a chance, I moved it back to correct timing and tightened the bolt and the engine sprung to life purring like a kitten and it ran well for as long as I saw it later on.
