I figured it out and want to help anyone else doing this job.
I took the two boots off of the bottom metal bracket on the drivers side dash. It gave me enough room to pop the clip off the left side of the heater box. I was them able to push the cover to the right and get a small flat head in the left side and get that clip to pop and the front of the heater box opened.
Right away I see both o rings leaking. I undid the black clips that held the heater core to the metal hoses and pulled the heater core out. Yes the antifreeze spilled out but down in the bottom of the box and out the bottom of the car.
I struggle to get the hoses back into the heater core and was going to pull them out, which I really didn't want to do. The heater core just wouldn't sit down on the hoses correctly. I was almost ready to give up then I decided to put the o ring on the heater core instead of the metal hose. Both lined up perfect and the new clamps closed easy. I sgarted the car and let it warm up. No leaks.
Not an easy job and it will take me a third night to put it back together. I hope this helps the next guy doing this job;)
