I'm racking my brain trying to figure out where this water is coming from. I get a puddle of water on the driver side floor pan right under the gas pedal. I have done the following to try to fix the problem with no luck:
1. Replaced heater core, o-rings and clamps. I drove the car for a week without the cover and parts on so I verified it wasn't still leaking.
2. Replaced heater core hoses and clamps at fire wall.
3. Cleaned out the drain tube under the wipers where the run off from the windshield can drain. It was clogged.
I thought I had the problem figured out. I drove the car to work today since it was calling for rain. Steady down pour for about 3 hours. I go out and the puddle is back. Doesn't seem to matter if the car is moving or sitting, it gets the puddle.
When I was replacing the heater core I checked the area under the carpet right under the pedal back to the seat and nothing up towards the heater or center console was wet. I checked the area right above the pedals and nothing is wet. I am leaning towards the area area below the driver side window sill but that area isn't wet, only over under the driver's pedal.
Am I missing something obvious to check? Any ideas where I can go next would be great.
