Got it 2nd hand from Donation reseller.
Seems nice, got home 40 miles in rush hour traffic OK.
ONE BIG ISSUE...at low speed, 1st and reverse, hot or cold, the idle and "near idle" hunts or rather "purrs like a kitten", revving up then setting down. Any good guesses? Also, I couldn't locate the A/T dipstick. Does it even have one? Idle reads about 1000rpm which seems a bit high, and gives IMO a bit too much umph off the line in 1st at idle. I like old American A/T setups that don't do much until goosed. Anyway to dial her back a bit in that dept?
Once her "purring" issue is resolved, and really whether or not its resolved, I'd like to do whatever is recommended to keep her going for a while. Car was on non-op, so who knows how long it was sitting.
10-40 Castrol part-synth good? What about draining A/T and replace with what? To replace with Synth A/T do I need to flush, rinse, repeat like Keith Richards trying to clear Customs in Japan? Anything weird about coolant and does this have Pressurized system than must be "burped" like my old 900?
