Hi Neil and 3Borks,
My experiences with 303 high tech fabric guard are more or less the same as you experienced.
After using this product from GoldEagle with a lot of pleasure for many years, last year bottle(s) with 303 high tech fabric guard changed my satisfation dramatically.
What once was imo a product that guarded the convertible topping from our MY2000 9-3 Hirsch for almost six months a year, the product that I purchased last year only guarded for 15 days.
First I thought that perhaps I bought a bottle from an old or a bad batch, so I bought at another shop a new bottle 303 high tech fabric guard. Unfortunately. the new bottle with ‘fresh’ 303 guarding fluid had the same disappointing guarding lasting time as the first one. Next to that, the 303 guarding fluid made the normally flexible convertible topping less flexible and rather stiff like Neil described.
As a result of all that, I contacted 303 products (GoldEagle) directly and filled in a complaint. The customer service from 303 products offered me to send me a new bottle 303 high tech fabric guard and offered me as an alternative my money back.
I decided to give 303 products (GoldEagle) another chance as I experienced many years that 303 high tech fabric guard was really a well guarding fluid. 303 products received my address information for sending the new bottle to and I received a confirmation that a new botle was going to send to me. That promise 303 products (GoldEagle) made me was from 12 months ago… Since that time, I did not hear anything from them. I contacted 303 products by email, wrote a review on their website and also send a direct LinkedIn message to a 303 product manager, all with the message when I could expect the promised new bottle 303 high tech fabric guard. I am still waiting for any response on my messages…a one direction communication now the fact.
My impression from 303 high tech fabric guard is that something was changed last year in the ingredients that made the once imo so superior product nowadays imo an inferior one.
As a result of my really negative experience with the 303 high tech fabric guard as well with the customer service from 303 products, I decided to try anoother product to guard the convertible topping from our SAAB.
Like Neil writes, in Europe Fabsil and Renovo are well used and appreciated guarding products. I tried a product from German manufacturer SONAX (Cabrioverdeck- & Textil-Imprägnierung); it guards the topping almost for seven months now with succes.
Best from the Netherlands,
Dennis
