Hello,
That's a pull it out job inorder to preload the bearings properly. Unfortunately that means you have to also replace the 2 bearings on the endplate near 5th gear and the crush sleeve. Also you will have to preload those bearings as well unlike many gearboxes that use a bearing plate that makes them so much easier to repair. If its just that the inner cv joint has a lot of side play there is a bronze bushing inside that can be changed in situ. Good Luck, Bernie
