Low risk for Goo Gone, and ramblings on other solvents

Goo Gone is the mildest solvent I have ever used, and it is specifically intended for removing adhesive residue. It is so mild that it takes several applications just to remove small amounts of adhesive, which makes it a bit of a pain to use. It is milder even than my previous favorite for removing adhesive residue, Swix Ski Wax Remover. (I DO NOT recommend this Swix stuff for removing car wax residue from black plastic trim. It dries out the plastic.)
Goo Gone doesn't even suck the oils out of your skin like most other solvents. I would consider it very low risk. I used it on the paint after debadging my 9-3 with no adverse affects whatsoever.
By contrast, another solvent called Oops! is the strongest stuff that I have used. It is intended to remove accidentally applied colorants such as ink, paint, permanent magic marker, etc. It absolutely will remove paint from virtually anything. Do not let a can of Oops! anywhere near your Saab.
