Spend $500 for a new display (SID). Loss of elements in the SID is fairly common, typically one or more vertical lines or sometimes horizontal lines. Cause is bad connections at the back of the display. One recent post suggested you could fix it with a soldering iron and patience. Give SAAB a hard time about this as it is a badly designed/manufactured part
