I believe the original spec was the NGK BCPR 7 ES ---but most of us are now using the BCPR 6ES plugs---gapped at 0.039 " and torqued at 20 ft .lbs.
Its not tricky --you remove the 4 screw of the DI---some leave the DI pigtail connected--I unplug the pigtail--and liftoff straight up the DI.
CClean out the "well" where the 4 plugs are by vacuuming / or/ compressed air to where you feel that when you remove the plug, that crud/sand/dirt/bugs will not fall into the spark plug hole. I apply some dielectric grease SPARINGLY to the nose and ceramic body of the spark plug after gapping it, and install it, torquing it to 20 ft lbs with a torque wwrench.
After you are finished at all 4--then gently GENTLY reinstall the DI over the four plugs with GENTLE pressure until it seats itself. Reconncet the pigtail and install the 4 screws.
Best done with a cool/cold--as in overnight soak--engine. No, I do not use antiseize on the plug threads--and I have NEVER had a problem in 22/23 years of driving SAAB by not applying it.
Others may express differently....oh well
Good Luck---30 to 45 minutes or so and you're done.
There is the old DI swap out method, but you'll pay for the labor to swap it in and out ---but the TECH 2, in my mind, is the BEST way---without a doubt to fault diagnose a misfire---with the assumption you have a good technician to operate it--and who understands its capabilities.
