My 94 900set exhibited the same symptoms early on (around 100k miles) and the dealer basicly told me to ignore it. The clunk was far more pronounced when the suspension was cold, and for example, I was first turning slowly out of a parking spot. (It usually subsided or failed to recur after the car was driven for a while.) As I recall, he said it was the strut bearing making some noise. Not that it was failing, just making noise. At 182k, it occasionally still happens, but I've never had any bad tire wear or looseness as a result.
Try to determine if it is more of a single clunk than a series of clicks, which when turning, could signal a bad cv joint. If it is a bad cvj, you can go a while with it making noise before you have to replace it, as long as the boot is still intact. (It's not quite like a front wheel bearing that might heat up, leaving you screaming and weaving down the interstate at 75 mph while your front wheel assembly goes spinning and bouncing wildly ahead of you at 95 mph into on-coming traffic.)
