we need to know what kind of engine is in you car. If it's the 6 cylinder, then you ought to be concerned about the condition of the timing BELT (not chain). Saab will replace this belt free for you at 30K miles intervals up to 90K miles on the car. If the belt goes, you're sunk. On the other hand, the 4 cylinder engines use a timing chain (not belt) that I believe does not need to be adjusted/changed for a long time.
