However, any name brand coolant will work. If you want maximum corrosion protection you should flush out all the old coolant and then refill the system with a 50/50 mix of new coolant and distilled water.
Many owners on this BB are using the newer 'DEXCOOL' coolants. This can be purchased at auto parts stores as Havoline Dexcool, or a similar product is Prestone Extended Life coolant. Both offer great corrosion protection, offer increased heat transfer rates and improved wetting properties, are silca and phosphate free, and will last 5 yrs/150,000 miles.
