Why take the chance ?
It takes no more than 10 mins to fully wash and leather manually, or if you really want to use a car wash, use the jet-wash type with a lance. At least then you can try to stop the water from getting under the sides of the hood (especially at the edge of the rear quarter lights) With the lance you could keep the nozzle aimed downwards to stop this happening.
Buy a sponge !!!
