BEAUTIFUL day here in Upstate NY so was out playing all day. Replaced my rotors and pads all around with no surprises...went very smoothly and they work gr8 too. Went with the BALO rotors and the Axxis MetalMaster pads.
My Questions are regarding the Turbo (95 900 SETC)
1. I ordered an upgrade to the Bosch air bypass valve up near the intake piping. It gets it's vacuum from the actual throttle body housing. After installing it exactly the same as the old part, I noticed that it was 90 degrees out from the way the Haynes Manual pictures it. The bottom port is facing left and the side port is facing the rear of the car. If this is right GREAT...if not please inform. It doesn't seem to be any different.
2. I also adjusted the waste gate linkage 2 full turns to prevent over boosting fuel cut-out. No problems, but when I disconnected the linkage, the gate arm attached to the actual housing just flopped back. Is there supposed to be some sort of spring return?? Maybe there isn't, but it would seem to me to need it. It doesn't overboost any more though which is good. I think I can give another 1/2 turn out now though. Thanks for your reply in advance.
