I had a low frequency squeek there, too. Check around where the wiper arms go down into the car. My experience followed a windshield replacement, but the proceedure to replace the cabin filter could result in the same event.
There is a black plastic sheet between the glass and the hood. The wiper posts go down through holes in this black plastic. Make sure that this sheet of plastic is positioned correctly. Look to see if the wiper posts could be rubbing the holes. Sometimes this plastic piece isn't set into place properly and a horrible sound is produced. Try to shimmy the plastic piece into a better position. Maybe looking under the hood at this would be worth while. It might be obvious that it isn't sitting correctly between the firewall and windshield?
The motor and arms are under this plastic piece. Search for 'cabin filter.' Someone posted directions on how to change the filter. Getting to the filter is the same as the wiper assembly.(directions here: http://www.saabnet.com/tsn/bb/NG900/index.html?bID=32203) The working area is better than other vehicles.
Good luck!
