Attempting to diagnose check engine light.....can't ground. Posted by Duhey2 [Email] (#151) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Duhey2) on Mon, 20 Aug 2001 20:03:54 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
The check engine light on my '96 900S has been illuminated since last Thursday. Today I went to Radio Shack to get some wire and alligator clips to try to use some of the means previously posted here about grounding the number six pin, turning the car on, then counting the number of times the check engine light blinks.
I'm not having any luck getting it to respond. Could it be the wire (20 gauge), the alligator clip, or where I'm grounding it (the door hinge)? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any advice y'all can offer!
Hasta,
Duhey2
