I noticed you'd just posted, so I hoped that you might catch this. Sorry for the cross-post.
Well, I finally got around to doing the front brakes on my Aero. I got the left caliper off with no trouble at all, but did notice that my earlier suspicion is correct: the outboard pad is worn a lot more than the inboard. Outboard is down past min thickness (but not showing rivets) while the inboard is probably somewhere around 5mm. On the right side, the pads are more even, but inboard is still maybe 10% thicker than the outboard. The right side is not yet past min thickness on either pad.
So, what do I do? Just lube the slide pins well and install the new equipment? Or is something going to need to be done to the caliper (rebuild)? Thanks in advance.
