I have done alot to the car but I'm sure you have heard Dean state right order of mods.
I first got my K&N air filter I had it for awhile then it was time for the next thing plus there was no real noticeable differance with this mod.
Next I really had the Saab sport exhaust put on. I started to notice alittle change in the cars attitude and enjoyed the new sporty sound of the car.
Bought the Hallman boost controller. Had my car boost raised and things started to really move. One thing is that I did not really notice any improvements at first due to a faulty BCP. Had mine replaced and then I broke another one. These things are not cheap they cost $250.
Then I bought some springs for the car. They were Eibach springs I bought them from the Saab interactive media rep. He had bought them for his 9-3 but then he got promoted at Saab where he now gets a new car every six months(lucky man) so he sold them because he did not want to keep on installing and uninstalling springs for his car. They then sat in my hallway closet for a couple of months. I then sold them to buy the ECU and forge BOV for my car.
Then I got an Forge BOV and a ECU. Loved the forge BOV until I realized that the plastic valve on the inside had melted. This was very bad and caused alot of boost problems but they replaced the BOV at no cost. As for the ECU I had 3 different ones. I almost got a fourth ECU but I then decided on a custom unit that Abbott Racing made for me. It's a very nice unit trust me.
I also bought a Viggen rescue kit about a month after the ECU/forge upgrade. Ended up installing the steering rack brace and the lower brace bar. I ended up selling the whole package to Jim Miller about a two months later after installing it. I just could not find the time to get someone to install the whole unit. Its now half installed on Jim's car and he is waiting to install the rest.
I then Modified my passenger foglight into ram air device and posted it on the performance board. Tested it as TonyC advised and it reduced 40-70mph speeds by over one second. Sorry I cant remember the exact number.
Now I have started to make a rather primitive but effective steering rack brace for the car and a lower rack brace bar like the Abbott Viggen Rescue kit but it cost alot less. It's as effective as the Abbotts but it does not look as pretty.
Now I'm installing the viggen intercooler. I'm hoping for the 10hp increase like maptun claims. It should be a fun upgrade. Jim and I are also planning on documenting the install to help out others thinking of doing this upgrade.
I have also had the car bumpers, side door gaurds and rear spoiler painted as well as added a 9-3 grill. It looks very nice.
I have probly also forgot a mod or two but I think I've rambled long enough. Hopfully I will soon get some pictures of the car up on the net so you can check them out. It has alot of really net stuff or aleast I think so.
