Townsend Imports (site sponser) and the saabsite.com (sponser too, I think?) have Starla center section mufflers for about $60. You probably only need the center muffler. The rear muffler might look like crap but they generally don't rust out as fast. BTW,Starla makes the mufflers that Saab dealers sell for 400-500% more. They might not have a "lifetime" warranty like the one's from Saab, but for that price I can buy 4 Starla mufflers. Considering I got 5 years from the first muffler; well, you can do the math...
I bought mine from Townsend. I just e-mailed him what I thought I needed and he sent back a quote that included the required hardware to mount the muffler as well as some advice to make sure I doidn't order parts that weren't needed.
Fitting the new muffler was easy. I put the rear end up on jack stands, but ramps would work well too. Then I sprayed the rusted clamp bolts with penetrant (WD_40 type stuff) and sheared the heads poff of the bolts! The clamps just fell apart. Next, I cleaned up where the new muffler attached to the existing pipes. Finally, I attached the clamps, pushed the muffler into the designed position and tighened the bolts.
It took 45 minutes from the time I opened the garage door to the time I pulled the jack stands off of the car.
