Jack up the front, one corner at time if you like. With the wheels turned full lock to expose the tie rod end before jacking, feel the tie rod end ball joint as you push and pull on the wheel. If there is excessive wear you will feel it moving in the ball joint.
The ball joints are not so easy to check. The strut top mounts could also be bad.
If you are not into doing suspension repair, you will need to get this repaired so let them figure it out.
