As for plugs, the consensus on the BB is to use NGK, the V6 uses different plugs than the 4 and the turbo's, so make sure you get the right one.

Front three plugs (very easy), maybbe 1/2 hour first time, quicker after that):

Remove plastic engine cover (that says "V6" on it) (4 screws).

The front three plugs are right in front of you, left to right, in between valve cover.

Using plastic tool, which should be attached to one wire, remove all three plug wires.

clean holes around plugs of debris. Using tool from trunk/spare area, remove spark plugs. Tool is a 9" metal tube, about 1" diameter, with large 6 sided hole on one side to be inserted over plug, smaller (9mm?) hole on the other side for a wratchet/torque wrench.

Clean spark plug holes. Apply anti-seize to threads of new plug, screw into hole and torque to spec, the NGK's were about 20 ft/lbs.

Apply small amount of dielectric grease to pole of plug, or in plug wire at connection point (not required if you don't have it). Re-insert plug wire into corresponding hole, make sure it is seated with a "click" Make sure to get the proper wire to the proper plug, on my engine the wires were cut to length. Secure wire into guides built into the valve cover, replace engine cover. The end.

Rear plugs, which I did yesterday (taken from Scott's post, with a few additions) All directions are facing the engine from the front of the car, and all wrench sizes are to my recollection, within a few mm, you'll need a range of combination wrenches:

You have to remove the plastic engine cover, 4 screws, as well as including the flip-up piece over the distributor along the right side of the engine, one screw on the manifold, to the rear;

undo the throttle cable attachment (has two wires attached to a springy mechanism) at the back of the intake manifold along the fire wall, 2 bolts (the manifold (also called plenum) is the big silvery thing right in the middle with the six tubelike channels);

undo the power steering vacuum (19 mm open wrench) at the back of the manifold. The steering vacuum thing is at the rear of the engine compartment, in the middle, with a black covered pipe that takes a 90 deg. turn to the right;

Along the left side of the engine compartment, above the wheel well, undo the air intake pipe clamp (intake is a 3" diameter black tube) and remove the box at the front of the tube(check the air filter while you're at it);

There are 2? bolts that anchor a wiring harness on the right side of the engine/manifold (near the distributor) and one in the rear of the manifold. There is also a small tube, clamped at the right rear below the manifold - these are the "trickiest" things to get at - make sure you don't drop anything. There is also a wire connector to the rear on the right, disconnect it.

undo the bolts for the intake manifold, in the front (use a star pattern, loosen them all a little before taking any of them off). There is a small white pressure fit host at the back left of the manifold that needs to be disconnected - don't forget to reconnect it...!

There may be one or two small tubes along the left side of the manifold, pull them off, don't forget to reconnect! Also, there are electical connectors from the wiring harness / manifold structure that will need to be disconected, just squeeze the wire lever to disconnect.

The manifold will not be fully disconnected, but I was able to move the manifold and set it on the right side of the engine compartment while I worked

Change the plugs like above.

Also replace the plenum gasket (mine was green, it surrounds the six holes that are left when you lift off the plenum), it is about $5-8, remove the old one and drop in the new one, no sealant needed.

Replace plenum, hooking up all disconnected wires and hoses first, hand tighten bolts then torque bolts in star pattern to 14-15 ft.lbs.

To change the valve cover gasket in the rear do the additional:

there are two pressure fit hoses along the left side of the air intake holes when the plenum is removed. Undo them (19mm and 17 mm?) some gas will escape under pressure (less than an ounce) from the right side one, make sure the engine is cool, don't panic.

Do valve cover job like in front.

I forgot to hook up a hose in the left rear, and a wire harness in right rear. The engine would turn over, but idle very rough and eventually die out, so check these if you have these symptoms. They were small and easy to overlook.

Total for rear valve gasket and plugs: 4-5 hours, not too difficult as long as you keep track of what you unplugged.
