I bought a Catco 3" for $50 from Summit Racing, the shortest one they make, 14" long. The exhaust shop cost another $50 for the install. The cat is installed after the second flex joint because there is not enough room under the oil sump to fit it, even thought it was the smallest 3" cat I could find. They also installed a bolt after the cat for the O2 sensor, the wire length needs to be doubled in order for the sensor to reach that far back.
The exhaust shop also fixed two of the joints. The one between the two 3" JT sections and the connecting with the 2.5" sport exhaust. The guys at the shop did not like the quality of the JT system and I was disappointed with the leaks from the two joints. However they fixed both leaks and I am very happy with my current setup. It also sounds much better with the cat installed.
I recommend this as a cheaper and better method than purchasing the JT 3" downpipe with the cat. It took about 20 minutes for the exhaust shop to fix everything.
