Hello everyone:
This was such good news that I decided not to wait until my
update was ready to send, which will go out later today. In a phone
conversation just a few minutes ago tying up some loose ends with Carlisle,
I was given the current standings for the Club Participation Award. Heading
into Friday, and the beginning of gate registrations, we are tied with The
Mid-Atlantic Fiero Club, with a total of 98 entries each. With the number of
committed entries we have, who missed pre-registration, we have a tremendous
opportunity to walk away with the first place trophy this year!
If for any reason you didn't pre-register, and haven't
decided to make it to Carlisle this year, please re-consider if at all
possible, and join us for what will be one of the top SAAB events on the
east coast this year. We have received commitments for approximately another
12+ cars in addition to the pre-registration numbers, (that we know about).
We feel that we may even break 120-125. I will be sending out more
information later today on some of the little details, and I have confirmed
the gate times for picking up your materials (Thanks to John Sizer providing
the details).
On Friday, 7 am to 7pm
On Saturday, 7 am to 5 pm
Because of the size of our group, (with growth there is
change) we will not be in the same area as last year. We will be located in
rows I H and I I, with the tent set up in the middle of our area near I 68.
This area is 4 rows south of where we were last year, closer to the
grandstand and vendor areas, and is much larger to accomodate our group.
Parking should be no problem at all for us, like it was this year. An
updated listing, including several additional vendors, will be send out
later today for your review. The "command center" will be moving out on
Thursday afternoon, so should you have any questions or need help with any
matters, please contact me via the cell number at 717.215.4216, as I have no
plans on installing e-mail in the 900.
Thanks again for all of the support and cooperation thus far, and
looking forward to meeting many of the new attendees to this year's show.
Bring your appetite on Saturday!
