Well, I broke the good news to Daniel earlier this week...there is a used 2002 Saab 9-3 SE 'vert with 36K (red, black top, gray leather, stick) on its way to Montpelier, Vermont (which is close to where I unfortunately still reside). Crossway Saab bought it at auction in the Midwest as a car just coming off of lease from an Indiana owner and they're going to give me the right of first refusal.

So, this being my first Saab purchase and all, what should I be looking for? Are there places on 9-3s that are more prone to rust? What should the drive feel like? Really, folks, throw anything and everything out there. I've got about a week until it arrives on the lot and I want to be ready to do the deal if it's a winner.

P.S. The dealership has said that this car is almost guaranteed to be a CPO. I'm going to do my research about that program at Saabusa.com, but does anyone have any thoughts on their experience with that?
