My '01 Viggen Vert and I enjoyed the Aug. 5th event at Ripken Field in Aberdeen. Good course, interesting slopes and elevation changes (it's a parking lot after all). Sorry to not see more SAABers. I was the only SAAB driver in the field, but the folks are getting familiar with what a Viggen is. No shortage of other turbos, though. A couple of national leaders and plenty of "newbies" in line.
The Philly chapter of SCCA runs this SOLO series and make several stops at Ripken throughout the season (I'm not an officer, just a driver). My original post here was a courtesy to my WASSAAB friends (and a "call out"). Check out phillyscca.com for event schedule and locations. They'll be back at Ripken for the final Summer Series event on Saturday, October 13th. You can register online.
Tweek, now you know about it sooner! I'd be interested in what other websites you were referring to. Kindly e-mail me the links and feel free to post this info on them.
ALSO, does anyone know a "canteen truck" vendor that would want to sell food/drinks at the Ripken site? Other than water from SCCA crew, it was strictly, BYOF/D. Boeing site has an awesome "lunch trailer" vendor.
Lastly, I won't be at the Oct. 13th event, due to another commitment. So go represent!
