I'd always wanted an SPG, and at the time SPG's were just out of reach for me, or as they came down in price, it just wasn't time "right" time. But as far as owning old cars, the trick is finding an old one you can reasonably be sure of the history, know that the previous owner took care of it, and if at all possible (rare...) get reciepts on it's repair history.
I've always had Saabs since I could first drive (in '81 bought my first car, a '74 99LE off of Dad, who in turn bought it from a co-worker). And like many others, have just been hooked by the marque. As much as I love my Talladega, the classic lines of the C900 just speaks to me, if you know what I mean. The Talladega is much faster, but the SPG just looks right...
