Just a note to let you know about some new developments in the club. We now have our own bulletin board on Saabnet! Members are invited to go to the BB to review what's going on with the club, and to post any questions, ideas, or info you may have.

Meeting tomorrow (4/6/2002) at Viking Automotive in Damascus,MD; Club Elections:
We will be gathering at Viking tomorrow at around NOON to discuss some club business, including the issues below. We will also be furthering the design of our club logo. If you would like to attend, come on by, or give me a call.drop me a line. Refreshments will be provided. We will also be finializing nominations for club leadership positions. So far the nominations are:

If you would like to add a nomination (you can nominate yourself) please let me know by tomorrow. Elections were announced in the last newsletter. Ballots will be e-mailed this weekend, and if you care to cast a vote, please reply to the ballot e-mail with your selections.
Sponsors:
We have been working fast & furiously building the club sponsorship base. We have added 4 new sponsors, including International Saab in Falls Church, VA, Radial Tire in Silver Spring, MD, Trent Saab (England, UK) and Saabnet (TSN for short). Viking Automotive has been a club sponsor since the club's inception last year. All will be giving us door prizes for club events, and most will provide club member discounts off of parts and accessories. We are also seeking sponsorships from VOB Saab in Rockville, MD, S&S in Warrenton, VA, and many more! TSN has sent us a huge load of goodies to give away, so be sure to come to our Carlisle event for the door prizes! We are planning to have a good bounty of other door prizes from other sponsors for the Carlisle event as well, including a free 1 yr. club membership.
Carlisle Event:
May 17 - 19, 2002, Carlisle, PA
Preregistration has begun and the event is fast approaching. So far we have 53 Saabs preregistered between our club, the Central Penn Saab Club, and some other regional clubs. Please fill out the attached form and send it in to either me, or George Bayshore (as listed on the form) with a check for $10 BY APRIL 27TH!!!!!. After that, the cost goes up (and the form goes directly to the Carlisle Fairgrounds people) If you are bringing more than one car, please send along the appropriate amount, which I believe is only an additional $5. A third car is free! If you would like a T-shirt for the event, please indicate what size you want, and include another $10 for each T-shirt.
I would like to organize a caravan upto Carlisle for Saturday morning (leave from Frederick at about 8 am). If you are interested in joining the caravan, please contact me. For more event info, please go to:
