Fake "comedies"

I rented "The Dilemma" last week. They bill it as a comedy with "laugh out loud" and "hilarious" all over the jacket. And it stars two very good comic actors. It starts out with some funny (but stupid)stuff but then pretty much turns into more of a drama. I really hate that. I mean, make it one or the other. Or even worse are the ones that actually are a comedy through most of the picture and then they get to the end, decide it's too lighthearted (I'd really rather be Fellini)and decide to get artsy and "kill the dog" (Marley and Me). The worst are the movies that make no attempt to be a comedy but then someone in marketing decides that more people would come see it if they bill it as a comedy. If that's true then why not actually make it a comedy? Sorry for the rant but if I'm expecting a comedy, that's what I want to see.
