I am a huge fan of Raggtopp. They sell a cleaner and a water repellant. I bought them as a kit from properautocare.com, but you can buy it from many internet sites. I haven't needed to use the cleaner yet. My top is relatively new (2002). I use PS21 shampoo to wash the top occasionally. If your's isn't too dirty you may want to forego the cleaner. The repellant is easy to apply. Spray the DRY top 3 times letting it dry in between applications (10-15 minutes). Wipe the overspray off of windows, paint, etc. No need to tape off these areas. After the application your top will bead water like you won't believe. The application lasts 2-3 months. Apply 1-2 coats every 12-3 months and your top won't soak anymore. Cost is less than $20.
