3M makes a very effective adhesive remover that I have had positive results with. Re removing badges, I would begin with a hair dryer on the edges of the badge to soften the adhesive up a bit. Then use a screwdriver on top of a cloth to begin prying up the badge (the cloth will minimize any scratching of the paint. Alternate the hair dryer and the prying until the badge comes off; then use the 3M adhesive remover to get rid of any adhesive residue.
