Original Cherry Red Paint Too Quickly Turns Purple

after I use the 3M process. I really notice it around the emblems on the trunk lid, and around on the rear spoiler (87 conv.) on both the trunk side and fender side. It happens anytime water runs down the paint. 3M gets rid of "the purple haze" quickly, but it returns within a week. Has anyone had better long lasting results from another product on old paint?
Thanks all!!!
