and have always handwashed it. With my experiences, and other detailers wisdom, I learned long ago that if you spray the car w/ something like a jet (or the "Jet" setting on the adjustable hose heads) it can actually scratch your paint. It does depend on how dirty the car is, but it can take the dirt and make it skip across the paint, scratching it. On the other hand if you use something like the "shower" setting (what I use) that will let the water catch the dirt and run off the car w/ it (like using a lubricant before you clay your car). I had never thought about this until a friend (who details for a living) mentioned this to me. This and the harsh soaps are the reasons I would stay away from any carwash. Hope this helps.
