My 89 SPG rear deck was straight enough, but ugly.
Rug removal- I used a Eureka hand steamer; talk about an easy job seperating rug, glue and board! Blast area and pull with pliers- rug came up in one peice. 10 mintes with sand paper and the surface was ready for new glue+. I have found more uses for that steamer- a staple around the house.
Black/down side was all scratched and generally faded. Kiwi leather dye- no shit. Looks brand new. After application and drying- buff a bit with a towel.
Hope this helps someone.
