Skip the hair spray, try water then isopropanol.... First, try sponging the stain with water. If this works, sponge with water until no more color is being removed.
If water doesn't work, dab a little bit of alcohol on an inconspicuous area of the leather to test for colorfastness and to make sure it won't damage the finish. If no damage occurs, sponge the ink with the alcohol.
99% pure Isopropyl alcohol is available at most drug stores/pharmacies. Just apply the alcohol with a soft cloth, let sit for 5-10 minutes and then wipe again to remove the ink.
DO NOT use the 70% Isopropyl Alcohol (also labeled as "rubbing alcohol") as they usually add mineral oil to rubbing alcohol as a lubricant.
You will probably want to treat the leather with a leather creme after using the isopropanol as it will remove some of the moisture and oils from the leather as well.
